Eagles News · Varsity Football Game vs. Northwest- Reminders

Good Morning SV Community,

Tonight our Varsity Football team will travel to Northwest High School to “host” Northwest in The Battle for the Kings Trophy.  All of Germantown is looking forward to a great event.

Due to Construction Seneca Valley High School is without a home field for the next few years. Though our normal “home” field is Gaithersburg High School, in order to keep this huge community event in Germantown, we were able to use Northwest HS as our “home” this evening and  again tomorrow morning for the JV Game.

The Seneca Valley Athletic Department would like to thank Northwest High School Principal, Jimmy D’Andrea, Athletic Director, Anne Rossiter, The Northwest Booster Club and Head Football Coach Mike Neubeiser for allowing Seneca Valley to play their “Home” game at Northwest this evening.

A few reminders:

  • Seneca Valley High School Band will be performing as will our Poms prior to and at halftime of tonights game.
  • Thought this is SVHS’s home game- our fans will sit in the Visitors bleachers
  • Game time is 7 pm.
  • The Gates open at 5:30 pm and all fans will enter to the left of the Stadium bleachers if facing the field.
  • No outside food or backpacks will be permitted inside the stadium area.
  • If you leave the stadium, you will be denied reentry unless you purchase a new ticket.
  • The Seneca Valley Booster Club will be running the concession stand and selling a variety of both hot and cold food items

Please note that this is our home event and will be run by the Seneca Valley Staff.  We would like to remind everyone that though our event will be on the road, the expectations for our student athletes, parent/guardians, and fans remains the same.  It is expected that the Seneca Valley community holds themselves to the highest standards at all times and does not interfere the integrity of the event.

The Seneca Valley Athletic Department is extremely excited to welcome fans of all ages to our events. We want to create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone in attendance. With that said we would like to share a few reminders about our game policies. Ticket prices have stayed the same with Adults paying $5.00, Students $3.00 and children ages 7-11 being charged $1.00. Anyone under the age of 6 and senior citizens will be admitted free to all county events. Only MCPS ID’s and MPSSAA passes will be accepted for free admission. Also a reminder that MCPS employees are allowed one (1) additional member free entrance. This will be strictly enforced at the gate.

At our “home” football games, no food or drink will be allowed to brought into the stadium and there will be no reentry without the purchase of a new ticket. We also do not permit any backpacks or large oversized handbags.

In regards to in game behavior, Seneca Valley would like to remind everyone that they are attending a Montgomery County High School athletic event. This is an event that allows young men and women to participate in a sport and gain valuable life lessons at the same time. Fans should remember that at no time will foul language, disrespectful behavior, loud inappropriate yelling or any game disruptive action be tolerated and may lead to your removal from the event.

Sportsmanship is a major part of the any SVHS athletic event and adherence to this policy will be strictly enforced.

Thanks and Go Screaming Eagles!!
