SV Community,

Seneca Valley High School is proud to announce the hiring of Mr. Jason Maxey as our new Varsity Baseball Coach. We are excited to welcome Jason to our Screaming Eagle Family.

Mr. Maxey comes to us with a plethora of baseball playing and coaching experience:

Coach Maxey played his high school baseball at Hammond High School in Columbia MD, where he was a 4 time 1st team all-county, 3 time 1st team all-met and 2 time all-state player. As a senior he was named a 1st team All-American.

Jason spent three years at the University of Maryland, where he was named Freshman All-American and spent his Senior season at Towson University.  He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 2005 and spent two years with the organization.

As a coach, he recently finished a stint as the Head Coach of the KOA Baseball College Summer team, made up of top college student athletes from across the country.

Coach Maxey is currently a physical education teacher at our feeder school Roberto Clemente MS.  He is a father of three and his wife Elizabeth currently works at Seneca Valley in the World languages department.

Welcome Jason to our family and we are excited to get started. Go Screaming Eagles.
