SV Community, on Friday, November 2nd, Seneca Valley HS recognized our Senior Football, Cheer, Poms and Band members. Please note their Senior Scripts below.

Senior Football players

#3, Mohamed Jalloh, Mohamed is being escorted by his cousin and close friends, Ms. Lawan Frazier and his coach, Nic Hadley. He has been a member of the Varsity team for three years. Mohamed’s most memorable moment was being part of the ACES project and giving back and helping people in the Germantown Community. He would like to thank his mother, for making him into the young man he is and also Coach Hadley and Coach Kim for making him feel like he can do anything. Mohamed is currently undecided on this plans for next year, but hopes to attend college and study business. He is also hoping to continue playing football.

#5, Joseph Arana, Joseph is being escorted by his mother and his brothers. He has been a member of the team for two years. Joseph’s most memorable moment is having Coach Kim show him how to be a man. He would like to thank all of his teachers, Ms Harris, his Coaches and Ms. McCabe for believing in him and pushing him to his best. Joseph hopes to attend college next year.

#8, Joseph Muturi, Joseph is being escorted by his mother Ms. Rosemary and his Girlfriend. He has been a member of the team for four years. Joseph’s most memorable moment was when seniors had to do the last prides. That was moment, he realized his HS football career was coming to an end. He would like to thank God for always looking out for him and his mother for always supporting him. Coach Kim for making him the person he is today and the other coaches for working with him. He would also like to thank his sisters and nephews for all of their love and support. Joseph hopes to attend college for 2 years and then go to the Air Force.

#12, Tommy Jennings, Tommy is being escorted by his mother Yovetta Jennings, father Dan and his brother and sister. He has been a member of the team for 2 years. Tommy’s most memorable moment was getting an interception against Northwest. He would like to thank his family for supporting him and helping him become a young man and his coaches for always believing in him and setting him up for success off of the field. Tommy plans to attend a trade school next year.

#13, Ryan Carroll, Ryan is being escorted by his mother, father, sisters and brother. He has been a member of the team for four years. Ryan’s most memorable moment was getting called up to Varsity his sophomore year. He would like to thank his friends, family and coaches for helping him be successful and pushing him to his best. Ryan plans to attend Montgomery College for two years with hopes of then transferring to the University of Maryland.

#17, Jordan Beachley, Jordan is being escorted by his parents and his girlfriend. He has been a member of the team for three season. Jordan’s most memorable moment was the time he spent during film sophomore year doing up downs. He would like to thank his coaches for always being the best and for collectively giving him the best experience at Seneca and helping to mold him into a young man. Jordan’s plans for next year are still undecided.

#18, Vincent Frederick Valle Jr., Vincent is being escorted by his mother. He has been a member of the team for three years. Vincent’s most memorable moment was his first year of football. He would like to than his mother, for working so hard to support his family. He would also like to thank his coaches for believing in him and his teammates for all of the laughs and fun times. Vincent plans learn and hopes to attend Montgomery College

#19, Christ Manzana, Christ is being escorted by his coaches. He has been a member of the team for two years. Christ’s most memorable moment was the first game of the season against Rockville. He would like to thank his teachers and coaches. Christ plans to attend college next year.

#21, Edwin Hernandez, Edwin is being escorted by his mother Julisa, Father Oscar and his sisters and friends. He has been a member of the team for four years. Edwin’s most memorable moment was working hard with his teammates in the off season. He would like to thank God for everything, his mother for always supporting him and Coach Kim for being the best. Edwin plans to attend college and study criminology

#22, Eric Gomez, Erick is being escorted by his coaches. He has been a member of the team for four years. Eric’s most memorable moment was football camp, where everyone bonded. He would like to thank the coaching staff for making him a man and his teammates for being his brothers and never giving up on him. Eric plans to attend college next year, with hopes of continuing his football career.

#23, Neil Prescott, Neil is being escorted by his girlfriend, trainer Ms. Crowder, Coach Hadley and his mother. He has been a member of the team for four seasons. Neil’s most memorable moment was when he got his mother to come to three of his games, which she normally cannot do, due to her work schedule. He would like to thank Ms. Crowder for helping him find a trade school to attend and his mother and coach Hadley for encouraging him to finish high school. Neil plans on attending Williamson Trade School in Media, PA next year.

#33, Zach Cason, Zach is being escorted by mother and father, his brother and his girlfriend. He has been a member of the team for two years.  Zach’s most memorable moment was getting his first interception against Rockville and helping the team to victory. He would like to thank his coaches for pushing him, especially Coach Hunter and Coach Kim and thanks to his mother for saying yes!  Zach plans to attend college next year and major in accounting.

#37, Charles Dadja, Charles is being escorted by his friends. He has been a member of the team for 1 season. Charles’ most memorable moment was practicing with friends, and get chance to play with them every Friday. He would like to thank the coaches for giving him the opportunity to be on the field. Charles plans to attend college and work part time.

#38, Tony Arthur, Tony is being escorted by his coaches. He has been a member of the team for four years. Tony’s most memorable moment was his last home game at the Old Seneca Valley. He would like to thank Coach Kim for believing in him when nobody else did. Tony is currently undecided on his plans for next year.

#53, Nathan Coreas, Nathan is being escorted by his little brothers Danny and Caleb. He has been a member of the team for four years. Nathan’s most memorable moment was all of his time with his teammates. He would like to thank his coaches, his Uncle for motivation and his entire family. Nathan hope to attend College next year and study law.

#56, Edgar Guerrero, Edgar is being escorted by his entire family. He has been a member of the team for four years. Edgar’s most memorable moment was being called up freshman year to Varsity and winning a playoff game. He would like to thank his coaches, teachers, teammates and especially his family. Edgar plans to attend a trade school next year.

#57, Chris Walz, Chris is being escorted by his mother and father. He has been a member of the team for three years. Chris’ most memorable moment was when Joseph Arana scored a touchdown and celebrated. He would like to thank all of his great coaches who didn’t quit on the team. Chris plans to attend college next year.

#59, Carlos Cruz, Carlos is being escorted by his mother. He has been a member of the team for 2 seasons. Carlos’ most memorable moment was getting his first sack his 10th grade year. He would like to thank his mother and brother for being there through the tough times. Carlos plans to attend Montgomery College next year.

#88, Paulo de Assis Junior, Paulo is being escorted by his mother and father. He has been a member of the team for two years. He would like to thank God, his family for the love and support and his coaches and teammates for the memorable moments. Paulo plans to attend college and hopes to study business or sports medicine.

 

And now for your Class of 2019 Senior Cheerleaders

Kaitlyn Willis, Kaitlyn is being escorted by her mother Cheri and some of her closest friends.  She has been a member of the Varsity Cheer team for 3 years.  Her most memorable moment is when they won first place and went to semi states last year.  Kaitlyn plans on attending Towson University in the fall and to major in Health Sciences.

Shannon Killoran (Ka lor ran), Shannon is being escorted by her closest friends Kimberly, Angie, Lola. Her little brother Aidan, her mom Sharon and her stepfather Tim. Shannon has been a member of Varsity Cheerleading for 3 years. Her most memorable moment was getting first place last year and moving onto Semi-Finals. Shannon plans on going to MC and studying Forensic Chemistry.

 

Arielle DeFrietas, Arielle is being escorted by her close friends Sarah Gnago and Kabria Brockman.  Arielle has been a member of the Varsity Cheer team for 1 year.  Her most memorable moment is last year winning top superior award last year during exhibition.  Arielle plans to attend Montgomery College for two years and then transfer to Maryland to be an x-ray technician.

 

And now for your Class of 2019 Senior Poms

Nicole Martinez, Nicole is being escorted by her sisters Melissa and Brianna, her best friend Ivyette, and her coach Jasmine Jones. She has been a member of the Varsity Poms team for 2 years. Her most memorable moment is becoming captain this year!! Nicole plans on attending college next year to pursue a career in the medical field.

And now for your Class of 2019 Senior Band Members

Nina Davenport, Nina Davenport is being escorted tonight by her mom and dad.  She has been in marching band for 3 years playing the clarinet, and plans to attend Montgomery college to study chemistry after high school.  Nina would like to thank her parents, her friends, and the marching band crew.

Phoebe Lam, Phoebe Lam has been on the drumline playing bass drum for 1 year.  After high school, she plans to attend college.  Phoebe would like to give thank her pets Rocky, Grey, and Louis for keeping her safe.

Joao Pereira, Joao Pereira is being escorted tonight by his mom, dad, sister and his girlfriend.  He has been on the drumline playing snare drum for 2 years.  Joao also served as percussion captain for the 2018 season.  After high school, he plans to attend college.  Joao would like to thank his family and friends- especially Michael, Grace, and Andi for being there for him.

Joseph Rivera, has been on the drumline playing quads for one year.  After high school, he plans to pursue nursing and possibly music.  He would like to thank Mr. Stephens, Mrs. Searle and his parents.

Jose Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez is being escorted tonight by Grace Rodriguez, and has been playing saxophone in the marching band for 1 year.  After high school, Jose plans to become either a Navy or Air Force pilot.

Daniel Umali. Daniel Umali is being escorted tonight by his brother and sister, Johann and Bianca Umali.  In 3 years with the marching band, Daniel has played both the Mellophone and the trombone.  After high school, he plans to study theatre in college.  Daniel would also like to give a shout-out to the African Pixie Frogs.
