Eagles News · Weekly Update- Week of September 9th- Important Home Game information

Good afternoon Seneca Valley Community,
What a great first week of school and great first games for many of our teams. I would like to thank our parent/guardians, coaches, sv staff, student athletes, students and all other fans for doing a such a great job at all of our events this past weekend. The attitude was positive and spirited. It was noticed and I have been pulled aside by several commenting on how awesome our school spirit is. Please keep it up and stay #svproud.

Please make sure to check out our website www.svhsathletics.org for all of our upcoming events.

Volunteers Needed

The Seneca Valley Booster club is in need of volunteers for this year’s home football season. We only have four games, but definitely need your help in making sure we have enough volunteers to work the concession stands.  If you can give any of your time, please use the link below and sign up. Thanks in advance.

Important Home Game Information 2019-2020

As most of you know, due to year 3 of the construction of Seneca Valley 2.0- we will not host any outdoor home events at Seneca Valley for at least the next year. Our football teams (JV and V) will play their “home” games at Gaithersburg High School. The Field Hockey  and Soccer teams will play their events as road games. The Cross Country team will be practicing on campus and will continue to have home events at Black Hills Regional Park.  Our volleyball team will be hosting events per normal in our gymnasium.  Please refer to our website for specific game information. (www.svhsathletics.org )

Regarding parking for our fall home volleyball matches. Fans can continue to use the gymnasium parking lot and will be able to access the gym via the main gym entrance stairs.  There is a designated walkway along the fence line.  Overflow parking will be in the auditorium parking lot, however patrons will have to walk around the front of the building to the gymnasium entrance in order to access the gym events.

It is important for everyone to be reminded that though many of our events will be on the road, the expectations for our student athletes, parent/guardians, and fans remains the same.  It is expected that the Seneca Valley community holds themselves to the highest standards at all times and does not interfere the integrity of the event.

The Seneca Valley Athletic Department is extremely excited to welcome fans of all ages to our events. We want to create a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone in attendance. With that said we would like to share a few reminders about our game policies. Ticket prices have stayed the same with Adults paying $5.00, Students $3.00 and children ages 7-11 being charged $1.00. Anyone under the age of 6 and senior citizens will be admitted free to all county events. Only MCPS ID’s and MPSSAA passes will be accepted for free admission. Also a reminder that MCPS employees are allowed one (1) additional member free entrance. This will be strictly enforced at the gate.

In regards to in game behavior, Seneca Valley would like to remind everyone that they are attending a Montgomery County High School athletic event. This is an event that allows young men and women to participate in a sport and gain valuable life lessons at the same time. Fans should remember that at no time will foul language, disrespectful behavior, loud inappropriate yelling or any game disruptive action be tolerated and may lead to your removal from the event.

Sportsmanship is a major part of the any SVHS athletic event and adherence to this policy will be strictly enforced.

The Varsity Football team, Varsity Cheerleaders, Poms and our Marching Band will have their first “home” game vs. Magruder HS at Gaithersburg HS.  The Athletic Department wanted to share the parking, ticket sales and seating arrangements for the event.

Please review the picture below that details where you can enter the school, located at 101 Education Blvd, Gaithersburg, MD 20877, purchase tickets and where we are asking you to sit for the game this evening.

Please note that Evacuation areas are marked with Red X’s in case of an emergency.

Please note that this is our home event and will be run by the Seneca Valley Staff.  We would like to remind everyone that though our event will be on the road, the expectations for our student athletes, parent/guardians, and fans remains the same.  It is expected that the Seneca Valley community holds themselves to the highest standards at all times and does not interfere the integrity of the event.
